A giant batik Banner is a great focus for a community project: they can be used to decorate libraries, community centres, youth centres, residential homes, churches, theatres, etc.
Churchdown Community Project
This project enabled disadvantaged adults to work together and make this stunning hanging to brighten up their community centre. The process builds confidence, trust and self-esteem and provides immense reward.
Battledown Special School
In celebration of the school staying open, the parents of this school designed this incredible Batik. The day began tentatively and reluctantly but soon grew with confidence, colour and communication and resulted in a group of women standing full of pride and amazement before this beautiful work of art, “The Phoenix”.
